Mom was able to shovel her way to the garage, and get the door open so she could check and be sure all was well inside. She heard at least one kitty rustling around in there. The food bowls were packed frozen dry food with snow on top -- that wouldn't work. So mom emptied them, refilled them, and put them farther inside. Also, she dug out the water bowl that's plugged in outside the garage, and filled it with more water, and made a path so thirsty furs and feathers can get a drink.
And it looks as though the storm has at least another few hours to go. Waaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!

: I am so lucky that I do not have to go out. Mom wishes
: the feral cats didn't have to be out, either. She
: needs to check the garage to make sure furs who need
: shelter can get in and have food once they are inside.
: Mom knows they will have cozy places to sleep. But mom
: probably will have to shovel to keep the entrance
: open. Poor mom.
