*rubbing noses with Sable the Punky Brewster*

Tee, hee, hee. I know what you mean. Humans get super scared about that kind of thing. I did the same thing this morning. After I ate, I'm supposed to be either in mom's bedroom or her office, depending on which I'm feeling like napping in. Once I nap, I can go to any plane of existence I'd like for about 10 hours. I do not move. Mom frequently checks on me to see whether I'm even breathing. She says I'm the soundest sleeperfur she ever did see. Anyway, I hide once in a great while, but happily for my mom, she has found nearly all of my hiding places. Today, mom went out, and came back, and I wasn't in her bedroom or her office. She checked all but one of my hiding places. She said, "Callie Marie, I have one more place to check. If you're not there, then don't even talk to me. I can't handle this." And she checked, and I was there -- inside an end table with the door closed, but I can easily open and close it any time I'd like for my scaring my mom convenience (tee, hee, hee). Anyway, when mom found me, I sighed and came out of hiding, because that's part of the hide-and-seek game. When I'm found, I have to come out and go back to either her bedroom or her office. My life is so boring, I can't begin to discuss it. Why do humans think they can tell us where to go or when to go there? Well? Why?

: I am a talker! I meow at mom a lot. I don't necessarily
: want anything, but I just like to meow at her. I
: usually start in the morning as soon a mom wakes up. I
: don't stop until she leaves the house to go to work.
: This morning I decided to sleep in. Mom got up and I
: wasn't in her bedroom. She took Lily to the kitchen so
: mom could feed her. I wasn't in the kitchen. Mom
: started looking around the house and calling me.
: "Where's my Boo?" "Are you okay
: Boo?" I finally came out from one of the catbeds
: that is under a bookcase. She woke me up from a sound
: sleep! But she was so happy to see me! I really didn't
: mean to scare her like that. At 16 years old, she was
: worried that I may have decided to leave her and not
: say goodbye. I think she really loves me.
