Posted by Tracey on 2/15/2003, 7:31 am 1. "My Man Godfrey." Based on the Carole Lombard, William Powell comedy, this pilot would again feature John Bolger as reclusive billionaire, Grant Godfrey Cambridge, who as the result of a bet, becomes the butler-named Godfrey- to a madcap high society family whose company he hopes to put out of business. However,he ends up falling for he families madcap daughter and decides to stick aroud. However, the woman who is truly right for him is her more sophistaced, business oriented sister, played by MKA, who is on to Godfrey's true idenity, but decides to keep it a secret, in order to win him over. Any reactions? Comments?
Here are two tv pilot ideas, which I know MKA would be perfect for.
1. "Born Yesterday." Based on the classic Judy Holiday comedy, this role reversal version would have MKA's former GL co-star, John Bolger play "Bill Dawn," a bleached blond innocent with a heart of gold who is the "boy toy" of a corrput female junk tycoon-perhaps OLTL'S Eileen Kristen-who wants to buy her way into Washington DC high society and polotics. MKA would have the Willian Holden role of the sophistaced reporter hired to tutor Bill-who ends up falling for him, and teaching him to realize his true potential. Later, the two take on DC.
