Here's a pic of my PHEASANTBERRY, Leycesteria formosa 'Jealousy', plant after winter. This plant's chartreuse leaves, when in growth, is why it was given its cultivar name. This plant flowers in summer, and produces berries that turn black, when ripe. They are reputed to be edible, but I haven't tried them, yet. Each fall, I give the stems a haircut, so it can fit under a cone. The plant grows back to full height, in a season. Anybody else growing, 'Jealousy'?....

This is a plant that is blooming in my garden, right now. The fragrance of the flowers are awesome. This plant was named after a minor Greek myth goddess, by the name of DAPHNE. This type is called the FEBRUARY DAPHNE, Daphne mezureum, even though it is blooming here, in March. Anybody else growing a Daphne type, in their garden? Most are fragrant. Some are evergreen, too. However, this one is deciduous, and blooms before leaves appear, as Saucer Mags do...
