You whipped our butts in your low temps. Local NBC radio here recorded zero here but a lady down the street hit minus 1 and another hit minus 2 on her car. My next-door neighbor said she was at zero that morning too.
Larger towns and cities in Middle Tennessee south- westward back toward Nashville really dropped and into low z6a. That was a bad event but it didn't hurt anything here, for the first time ever I've noticed discoloration on Sabal Minor.
We were minus 3* Christmas 2022 and the only damage then was it cut my April tryst camellia to the ground from 6' tall (unprotected and blazed my sago. Of course it dropped over 40* in 2 hours and had hurricane force winds for almost 2 days.
My Summer Snow Gardenia lived through that and greened out this past year but didn't bloom. It foliage is blazen again. I need to trim it up, fert and put it in the sun soon.
I love your sagos , they have always done great for you. Fred always trims his back for new flushes in spring. I need to trim mine. They are blazen. Fred and I were worried about you but glad you're still in the Appalachians. Can't get rich here but it's safe. Thanks friend.
