Oh I know Claiborne County, Tennessee. Pert near in Kentucky. It's in an extremely mountainous area with very little bottom land and due to its remoteness like other places around here, very few people live there and they is not much commerce available. I'm sure it was not easy for your Aunt Dory living there but it is some of the most beautiful territory in the state.
Somehow they built a railroad from Tazewell, TN near the KY/TN border (near I-75), eastward to Middlesboro. Kentucky and Clairfield is in a narrow valley along the track. Nice to know you have a friend from that area. I will say this, no one makes potato soup like the Appalachians yum.
