You've had a decent z8 winter but most z8 don't get that much snow
We have been getting a little here and there and got walloped 2 or 3 weeks ago with about 1/2 foot. Looking for some snow Friday night here and a cold weekend too. Outlook looks amazing next week and looks like everyone get in on that out. It's still winter so keeping my guard up
The ole Needle Palm is 9 feet tall and has a 45 foot girth with 4 pups under her skirt and they have 3' plus of trunk. She is an old palm, pushing about 25 years old and has never been protected.
I really believe some of her pups fertilize her.
She has endured below zero many times and smashed under heavy snow but always springs right back like nothing has happened. I still think Sabal Minor is a hardier palm but many will argue that
Thanks Nick, spring is almost here.
