Yes, that yucca is a close relative to the Yucca rostrata and would do great in your climate. These species are great palm monikers in their own right. They sure are a carefree arid tropical. Yucca sure enhances surrounding vegatation, even the small clumping varieties found in the Great Smoky Mountains are a pleasure to see. They actually thrive on neglect
