Thats a nice looking palm. If your going to plant it, plant it very soon. I normally wouldn't plant after the 4th of July here.
You know the drill. It will have to be protected for a couple of years anyway.
As for keeping them indoors during winter, it sounds like you have a perfect set-up. I kept a blue pot potted for 2 years and kept it in a basement stairwell (constant 55*-60* sun at times) and it never missed a bit and grew.
