Re: My first hibiscus bloom
Gorgeous! Very topical looking. My mother grew them in KY at the home place for many years, my entire life.. They are pass along plants there and in much of the Upper South. I am sure in Rob's neck of the Plateau as well. The local paper in my hometown put a picture of my mother and her Hibiscus in the local paper. She was so proud of that and called everyone and told them. My sister has the newspaper article picture framed, the paper gave her the picture. My mom had them planted much like a hedge along the back of her property along a road. People always stopped and admired them when in bloom much to my mother's delight, God rest her soul.
