You can only set them out when temps are reliably above 50 degrees or you will run into problems. They are tropical and rather tender, especially in Spring.
In Fall they are much tougher and can easily take into the 40s. Move them inside for winter and let go dry. Keep coolish -- 50 to 60 degrees.
