Sanford and Lake Jesup

I think the Sanford Airport used to be some type of military airport. It apparently has grown considerably since then.
Sanford, as well as the rest of Seminole County, has exploded in the past two decades. There has been a lot of commercial development on the west side of Sanford in the Lake Mary area. Plus, to the south of Lake Jesup, places like Oviedo and Winter Springs have gone crazy.
As far as swimming in Lake Jesup, I would not recommend it. It is considered the most alligator invested lake in the state. There's a neat "Old Florida" fish camp restaurant on the lake with a dock you can walk out on. You can see the little alligators swimming around in the water. I have a picture of them near dusk. On the other side of the lake is a public park with alligator warning signs.
