No snow but it ws 14 this morning. Ridiculous temps for so long a spell. MY lows down here have been similar to yours. We hav hit 14 three times and 11F once! hope my palms ar ok. I have never had to worry about protection, but I am wondering if this might not have been a good idea this year. So far my marginal Trichocereus and Echinopsis genus Cacti have fared ok. MY tree-like Opuntia gome 'Old MExico' is drooping a lot. IT is tree-like now. The top branches are bending over a lot I hope it is ok. IT is common for some Opuntia to shrivel in the cold, etc, but this one does not. I guess it is because it is subtropical. Time will tell the story. Keeping my fingers crossed. My Opuntia ellisiana looks great, no drooping etc. IT is subtropical as well.
