I agree Tony , something about that manure and the growth you had was spectacular even though you have super awesome summer heat !
You palm wont need much watering at all.
The Moalb Washingtonias are in a desert but it might need a dabbel of moisture, This wont make it grow in cool weather but can sustain life.
Actally a gallon of water with a 1/8 cup of Guinea fowl manure made into a tea , would be great to throw a cup of the tea water in the top of the pot once a month would surely sustain life but they are tough palms and dont need much during winter but if your above 32* thats great but I would still try to spring water or something on it once a month.
The bag was to cover the pot when you proped it up for a drink. Im sure it will be fine Tony , It sounds like a great palm and maybe next season just do the barrel thang,LOL.
