Rob, it is still in the pot. I won't need a sack or soil. The roots grew through the holes in the bottom, so to move the pot with the palm in it, I had to chop them off. I'm a little worried about giving it to little, or to much water over the winter. It's to tall to stand it up in there. So I'd have to take it outside each time to water it. It's to heavy to do that very often. The thing is, I do NOT want it to grow any more till spring when I plant it out. It's never gone below freezing in that well house. That's why I'm trying the banana stalks in there this year.
Ya know, it's funny you mentioned Guinea fowl manure. I think the reason it grew like it did was because I placed the pot right on top of where I once had a chicken run. Those roots dug into some soil really rich in chicken manure. I just figured it out. That's what I'll use next year. Probably the best palm grower fertilizer yet.
