Rob, funny that you mention my yucca staking technique. My big aloifolia has been putting a ton of stress on the current rebar/bamboo stake, so much so that the whole thing was leaning to point of maybe toppling over. So what did I do? I got another piece of rebar and bamboo and put a back up stake to help out the main stake. The whole staking thing still looks good, and it just looks like 2 bamboo poles coming out of the ground next to the yucca.
I'm not sure how many more seasons I can get out this thing, it's way over 10 feet, and it's only a matter of time before the whole thing is too top heavy and falls over.
