I wondered what happened to the palmettos on Brainerd and also the butias on Lee Hwy. Figured with no knowledge of palms and no protection, they would not be good examples of palms for folks around here to see. Just reaffirmation to them that palms won't grow here. You need to get to the Greenway as I went yesterday evening, but forgot the camera and the palms are doing pretty well. Birminghams look like they have grown the most, believe it or not, but the minors have seeds stalks!!! Stop by sometime and check them out and let me know what you think about them...
