Well, I just received an email from someone wanting to know if I was doing my garden this year or not, since they had not seen any pictures of how it was doing this year. With all the things going on around the house this year and a different position at work, I have not taken any pictures of the backyard until yesterday. Thought I would post a few and then a link to the rest of them at the end. Hope you all enjoy...
Austin won the picture prize last month with his shot of a bird's nest with young'uns in it and it made me wonder if I had one or not. Lo and behold, my male windmill had a nest in the crown with spanish moss being used as part of the nesting material. My youngest and I have been watching it carefully for the last week or so and now the mom and dad robin are busy flying back and forth trying to keep the two hatchlings fed...
If you look close, you can see one of their fuzzy heads looking around for MORE FOOD!!!
Looks like my mama Trachy is going to give me more seeds this fall!!!

This is one of the reasons I have been so busy... Completely redid our screened in porch. Siding, new screen system that let me remove half of the 2X's to open up better views, completely new inside and out! Can't wait for the wife to pick out the new furnishings for it so I can sit in there and CHILL!!!
All in all, so far this year, it has been slow to start and is only now really starting to take off. All bananas that were overwintered outside had to start from the corm.
Here is a link to the rest of the folder if anyone wants to take a look at them...
