WOW Brad , thanks for sharing this landscape palate.
First I want to say that you have a very beautiful home and grounds to work with, Its just awesome.
Another plus is you havent crowded everything together which will give space for things to come in to their own .
(this is something overlooked often by many and after a few years the headaches begin..why did I plant this so close to that)
The back palm garden is awesome and well done. The most protection may be in this area and it will be out of sight. The best thing I see is the way you have used so many different types of plants to compliment others. This is so cool.
Your desert garden will one day make you so proud.
We dont have heavy snow here in winter and most snow melts the next day in 99% of the time. They say snow cover is a great insulation blanket and I hope you will discover how to make it to your best use. I cant wait to see more pics and updates when you have time. The boulder garden containing Camelia sasanqua, brunera, ferns. liriope, carex will be awesome once it settles in , it already looks very good.
Well Brad , thanks for showing off the landscape. I like the ideas you are using and maybe I can incorporate a few things here. The daytime heating of the rocks is another plus in cooler times and as for the palms , Ive always wondered about stone vs wood chips for MULCH as winter protection. Do you or anyone else have a comment on this? Thanks.
