Siam Ruby is a great looking banana. There are some pics of it on bananas.org. The cold hardiness is unknown, but it's not too tender according to initial reports. The price has certainly come down over the past year for this one.
Yeah, I was talking about the red abbsy banana. It's really easy to overwinter under the crawl space. I'd definitely recommend it. Look closely at my pics in the Spring Photo post and you'll see my small ones.
The Musa 'Bordelon' is thought to be a cross between Musa Zebrina and another taller banana. It's good for Zone 8 but may be difficult to overwinter in your climate. Alan in Memphis has had fairly good luck overwintering it, but some corms do not come back in the spring. It's sort of sporadic in terms of overwintering. The undersides of the leaves are red and pretty striking. Here's a link:
