Hey buddy,
I do get alot of small palms also, but when the opportunity arises, I jump at the chance for larger ones. I was fortunate with the queen as it only cost me gas to go to Atlants to a gentleman that posted he had a queen and foxtail that he could not overwinter inside anymore and I went down and picked them up. The foxtail died during the Easter freezed two years ago, but the queen made it through.
The bizzie I got yesterday was from some folks that brought up a truck load of huge bizzies, triangle palms, phoenix robillinis, livingstonias, etc. Even had some huge sagos for $65.
Butias were from Savannah Nursery in middle TN near Spring Hill. They were 15 gallon ones that have faired pretty well so far for me...
Palmetto was from Cold Palms outside of Huntsville. It did not make it and he said he would replace it for me if I would come down. Can't decide if I want to try it again or not...
BTW, just got home from up your way. Came up with a friend and visited Burgess Falls Nursery, and Chuck Johnson Nursery. I really did like Chuck Johnson's.... Met Rob and dropped a couple things off for him and talked for a couple minutes before he had to go to work...
Have a good one, young man....
