I just bought a like-new (rebuilt) brake master cylinder from Auto Zone for my 1978 XR-7, it was $15. They had to order it. It came in a new box, and it looked totally bran-new. I think a new one was $30+.
Rebuilt brake boosters are $100+. I would just go for a stock replacement master cylinder. It is just a master cylinder problem you have. The brake booster should not have any brake fluid in it in the first place - the master cylinder is leaking into the booster. And the booster is just transferring the fluid to the carb through the vacuum. Unless you want to spend the $$$, just remove the booster/hose and clean them out.
Thats cool you upsized the motor. They only came stock with 302, 351, & 400 ci V8s.
