Thats the most comon problem. When the wheels get wider, the manufactors ussually put the new width towards the outside. Put your wheel back on and see how much extra you have on the inside. I've got 15x10's on my 4-door Cougar and with the right offset, I think I could go wider. I think the guy with the 72 Torino wagon has 15x12's under his.... It's all about the offset....
