I just wanted to give fellow Cougar enthusiasts my experience with this. I am not trying to advertise for anyone, but to give some honest info.
My origional ones were a little dinged-up. I have been going to various junk yards for over 10 years looking for these, either they were already stripped off the car or mine were in better shape anyways. I did order the set of 4 last month. I received them in a week. They were great looking. You could tell from the back side they were redone (Don did say they were "...restored") but from the front they looked bran new, and the front is all that really counts. I hope the re-chrome process holds up in the long run, not that I am saying it will not. My cost was exactly $400 for the set of 4 + exactly $150 core charge (the deal is that I get this money back when I return my old ones) + around $10 s/h charged to my Mastercard over the phone. Shipped UPS. They were packaged well, each one in plastic and in an overszed box with lots of foam wrap. He does have a bunch of other parts for 1977-79 Cougars that is not listed on the web site (so dont give up, just call). I know, it was a little pricy, but the end result is very sweet!
