Posted by Roehm This is my first post here but I have a pretty big question. I have been wondering for a while what it would take to swap in an AOD tranny into my cougar which had a 351W. This is just an attempt to get a few extra MPG when I am cruising down the highway but not having to sacrifice power. I wasn't sure which tranny to go with, but I figured an AOD tranny out of an early 80's Cougar or Thunderbird. I figure those are non-computer controller units but I am not 100% sure. Any info or advice on this would be great. I am having no real luck finding anything. Thanks Peace,
