Well, I just did this on my new green Cougar. I bought some green vinyl material at the local fabric store and contact glued it right over the board. I've got factory speakers, so the board had the small holes for the sound to come thru, I "DID NOT" even mess with cutting all the small holes, just glued one peice down, and it sounds the same, and looks nice and smooth.......... I think this is the best way to go, unless your board is in a million peices, then you're going to have to find some heavy card board, or think partical board and make a new one.
