I got a 79 Cougar with a 390 in it. the guy before me didn't hook pwr steering back up. He drove it with no pump. I got brackets and pump off a 71-72 Ford F100. of course the fittings aren't the same as the stock Cougar box. Once I get a hose made, am I likely to have good chance of this working again, or is a dry box doomed? Any pointers please. I temporarely hooked it up and ran the motor for a few minutes and turned the wheel around with no notice of working yet. And as always the triple hose clamp in place of a pressure fitting only works momentarily. Thanks
