The regular cougar differs in several ways. The regular cougars normally do not have power anything, IE:windows, door locks or seats or remote mirror change. The xr7 has most if not all power with a straight 351 Windsor or Cleveland motor. If the one you are looking at to purchase, do a history on it to see if the motor has been motified from the manufacturer or if someone else has motified it. Chances are it has been motified. Run the VIN number and it will tell you the history of the vehicle. Yes they are very fast and comfy, great cruzin' car! Really gets the looks. Mine is almost ready for the car shows!
