There is an article in The Scottish Mountaineer due out later this week. In essence I have discussed this concern with a wide variety of agencies, organisations ansd individuals. This has been talked about for a number of years. An application on the scale of the "talk" rather than the action would be unlikely to be acceptable to the access / planning authority. It would also be seriously objected to by MCofS, Ramblers and probabaly local farmers who would be concerned about safety of their livestock, and hence NFUS. There is no official application to object to, but all concerned are aware of MCofS views. We will keep our eyes open and react as / when necessary.
