Posted by Christopher Hine Also noticed the lower summit cairn. Was this some sort of structure ? Is there any history associated with it ?

Wandered up Craig Meagaidh last weekend, first time in summer and also for a long time. I remember there was a small stone built hut in the corrie where the MR box now is. Spent a night in it once though it was roofless at the time. There was a sleeping platform which offered some shelter, can somebody tell me when this was removed. Seem to remember something in the 90s but can't put my finger on it. I presume it was a casulty of the hut pogroms.
