Posted by jane The Bunkhouse on the train station is actually owned by Scotrail/Spacia, and the Estate rents the building. The building needs a lot of work undertaken to replace rotting boards, windows, fires etc. The Trustees of the Estate had intended to carry out the works, but on checking our lease found that Scotrail/Spacia could revoke our lease with only 3 months notice, and were loathe to spend around £55K on upgrading a building that could be taken from us within three months. We are in talks with Scotrail/Spacia to try and come to an arrangement which will benefit Scotrail, Corrour and of course visitors to the Estate. You may wish to get in touch with Scotrail yourselves to show support for the Estate upgrading the bunkhouse. We are delighted that the Station House restaurant is now open, and is run independenly of the Trust by Beth Campbell. Beth is also doing Bed and Breakfast accommodation, and of course there is accommodation at SYHA Loch Ossian, and through the Estate office.
