My wife descends from the above Juriah Day, who married a David Collin, b.1850, married 1/11/1822 in Knox Co., KY (Barbourville?).
They had a daughter Ruhaney Collins, b. 10/20/1822 in Marion Co. IN, "near Indianapolis"
They later were in Howell Co. MO where family stories say that David dug her grave at the NE corner of the Pottersville Cemetery, (unknown if in or outside the boundaries) as they refused her burial in the cetery as "she was an Indian"
She was supposedly full blood Cherokee according to family stories. She died prior 1860.
The daughter IS buried in the Pottersvile Cemetery, and the stone is becoming unreadable due to the elements.
Any information wil be greatly appreciated, and we will share what we have on the family
