I don't know what to think...are you selling the LSPOA and FOP or selling us on the idea of collective bargaining?
I would agree to the "Hypocrisy" within our department, but it doesn't start and end with the LSPOA and FOP. Several people preach one lifestyle and live another.
The question I have for the "collective voice" is: Where does my personal life end and the professional life begin? I am not talking about DWI or committing actual crimes - so calm down. What I am talking about, do I have the ability in my private life to argue with my neighbors or party at "Party Cove" without worrying about an internal affairs investigation being opened?
This is what I am concerned about. I could care less if you are a member of the LSPOA or FOP. I also don't care if you are not a member, but use this board. This board is for everyone, including non-cops, so I don't see that point. I will also admit that I do not know enough about collective bargaining to care one way or the other. If it means a contract, I am not so sure I like the idea. I am open to change my mind in the future with more information, so don't attack me yet. I am not saying I am against it, just uneducated.
Later.
