Debate Room Thread

I read the postings on here all of the time, but this is the first time I have ever posted. I feel now is a great time for me to post and say a few things about this department. As most of you know, I’m getting deployed to Kosovo and I “only” have 333 days and a wake before I’m home, but as you can tell I’m not counting. I call home almost everyday and speak with my wife. She has told me numerous times about people from the department calling her to ask if she needs anything or inviting her to dinner with their family. There has been an individual from the department that picked my son up from daycare and took him to one of my wife’s doctor’s appointment so he could see the ultrasound and see his baby sister. I receive calls all of the time from several individuals from the department just to see how things are going. There are several other caring incidents that have occurred that have only come from my brothers and sisters in blue. Do you think theses are isolated incidents? I really don’t think so!!
My main point is to think everyone at LSPD for their continued support. I know there are a lot of things that happen inside the walls of the PD that seem to cause a lot of grief with a lot of people, but when it boils down to the things the really count, our department rises above and beyond the norm. It is truly a blessing to have the opportunity to work with all of the ladies and gentleman at LSPD. I can’t put into words how truly thankful I am for all of the continued support, all I can say is Thank You!! Stay safe and I will see all of you on the flip side!!
