I believe, however, that the two are equal and let me explain why. Everyone who says Future Trunks is stronger fails to take 3 very important differences in the two T's lives into accoung: Now, keeping these facts in mind, people who say Future Trunks is more powerful may not be able to dismiss the issue so easily. They may still be right, but they will have to grab for a reason why. And the two T's powers were never compared, so how can anyone know whether one is stronger or not anyway?

Surprise! Didn't think I was gone did you? I hope not. I hate to be coming back here at this time bringing you things you probably don't want to hear, but I've seen that nobody has posted in a while and I thought I'd pick it up by talking about something that has been bugging me in recent days.
People are always saying how Future Trunks is so much more powerful than Little Trunks because he grew up in hard times and Little Trunks grew up in peaceful times. Uh huh. Okay. If you concider fighting Majin Buu for even two days to fit the bill of "peacful times" then you've lost it.
1) Little Trunks was trained personally by Vegeta all his life. Future Trunks was not, he only started at 13, trained by Gohan, who wasn't that much better himself.
2) Little Trunks spent all that training time in a gravity room, and we all know how effective those are. Future Trunks did not.
3) Perhaps most importantly, for reasons I have not bothered to elaborate on yet, Vegeta in the "normal" DBZ timeline obtained Super Saiyan status quicker than the one in the "future". While he was not at the level yet when Bulma concieved, he had reached his limit at normal saiyan mode and was on the verge of SS, all he needed was the deep anger. So being on the verge of SS, he passed the ability along to Trunks. In effect, a fact that everyone has overlooked, Little Trunks was born with the inherited power to become a super saiyan naturally, without effort. Future Trunks was not. He had to work for it.
