Hey all, new topic! I decided it would be interesting for us to take a look at some of Mr Toriyama's Dragonball characters and state why we think they captured the imagination of manga readers, anime watchers and fanfic writers.
I think I'll start with the android twins 17 and 18. When I first saw the episode where Trunks was describing the two of them, I have to admit I thought they were going to be six feet tall with biceps the size of Belgium. (Admit it. A lot of you probably thought the same thing.) Imagine my surprise when I saw what they really looked liked. First of all, one of them was a girl (I sure didn't see that coming!) and second of all, where was the gravity-defying hair, or the exaggerated muscle tone? They actually looked (Shock!) normal!
Mr Toriyama certainly deserves a congrats for giving us something we weren't expecting. Any other characters you think he did a great job moulding? Let's hear 'em.
