Okay I don't want to rain on the parade 'cause I think its fantastic that this forum is back in action but I'm pretty sure that you'd have to call regular old Super Saiyan the "Legendary Super Saiyan" There's a couple of reasons for this:
1. The Golden Oozaru as near as I have ever researched/seen etc was put into GT specifically because of that episode of DBZ (it never happened in the manga). Golden Oozaru sounds like a Saiyan that transforms into an Oozaru, and already has the ability to become a super saiyan. The image of the Golden Oozaru in DBZ is a picture from inside Vegeta's head, not necassarily the manifestation of the legendary.
2. Vegeta's legend has a few main points first that the Legendary Super Saiyan of 1000 years ago was the strongest person in the universe, but he could only control his power when transformed. Well to Vegeta at that point a "transformed" Saiyan was an Oozaru, but when Goku grows half a foot, gains about 300 pounds of Muscle, has his hair spike up as if it was in a high wind and turn golden, and his eyes change into an aquamarine shade that lose their pupils, wouldn't that count as a "transformation"
3. Its a legend, the problem with legends is that they only hold specks of truth, their isn't a SSJ bible (no matter how much I wish otherwise) Certain facts about the myth are disproved quite quickly, the legend claims there can be only one Super Saiyan, well I guess that means that last time there was only one. The Super Saiyan is the strongest person in the galaxy. Well if Goku is suddenly the strongest ever then there isn't any story left.
4. For all intents and purposes Broly is the Legendary, I'm still at a loss to explain the Purple and Green Hair, but he's the only one who ever goes into that Hulk like stage, which I've read is being called True Super Saiyan.
