well piccolo also sais that he is "the namek" when fighting cell. That he isn't kami or piccolo. But then goku talks to him and he sais he is still piccolo. Also android 17...I have both of the tapes concerning that he was made in hell.....I'm pretty sure at some point one of them sais something that means both of them where created there.
