Yeah, the "real" levels (SSJ2, SSJ3) are achieved through anger, (though the discovery of level 3 is never shown), but the acended form (used by vegeta and marai trunks) wasn't attained by anger, it was attained by raising your power level, and pushing beyond their own limitations. And even so, now that they're alive again, and have been to the past, they should be reaching the 2nd level in a season 2 fanfic... shouldn't they?
