What they forget to mention in this article is that the Tulsa government also had an option to spend the money in any area they saw fit. How quick before they would have squandered it just like they do with our already too high taxes? We pay an 8.517% sales tax already!!! That's more than most cities. It would be nice if they could take the money they already have, fix some roads, invest in our police department, and let the private sector develop the river.
