JFK is an interesting fellow, in that for as popular as he is remebered for being, he had a lot of political enemies on all sides of the fence. LBJ hated his guts, and only ran with him because he knew JFK wouldn't win without him and his southern contingency, and the alternative was Nixon, who LBJ hated even more. Then there is the rumor of the alleged affair between Jackie and LBJ.
