This is a wonderful site! I had the pleasure of meeting John thrugh my dad's business. We built engines for John for several years in the 90's. Through the years John became more than a customer, he became a true friend. My dad, Randy and myself spent many a night at the races with John and they were always fun. I have never met a person that has enjoyed life or living as much as John did. The stories that he has left all of us will be with us forever. I was fortunate enough to go with John, Printence, Wayne, Charlie, and Randy to Florida for Speedweeks in February of 1997. I remember we were at a restuarant the night before the race started at Volusia and Randy was giving John a hard time about being old so he ask John how far he could see and John answered with that grin of his that he could see the moon every night that it was out, how far is that? Needless to say we all fell out of our chairs laughing. John was a great man and the loss has been tough on everyone. I wish John's family and friens all the best.
