I know this is a very late reply but John didn't start his dirt track racing career in Silsbee. The Silsbee track is relatively new. John and my father, Raymond Adrio, began dirt track racing together in the early '70s. When they first began they were racing at H&B Speedway in Sour Lake and at Motorama in China. I have some old photos of their first car.
