Posted by Carol on 6/29/2004, 2:14 am July 9th Motorama aka Speedway 90 is having an ASCS Gulf Coast Region sprint race which will be a memorial for John Bankston and Glenn English. You may not remember Glenn. He owned several cars down here. Gary Watson (Motorama co-owner) and Aubrey Cain won championships driving his cars. Silsbee Speedway...right down the road from Beaumont had a John Bankston/Charles Kettl Memorial not to long ago. The ASCS show will be followed by one on Saturday night at Houston Raceway Park and will honor the memory of Ronald Laney.
