Posted by Heather Johnson on 6/18/2003, 7:48 pm I remember what seems to be only a few seasons back but may have been longer... One night we were all at Speedway 90 racing.. John was in his wing mod. out on the track along with other wing mods. my father being one of them... The race was progressing and going along fine.. i remember watching john shoot out of turn two race at full speed down the front stright and sling his car off in turn three at this time he hit a bump and flipped his car... if i remember correctly it landed on its wheels but a few seconds later turned to its side.... john was out of thwe car before the safety crew could even get there another few seconds elapsed and teh crew araived adn had to aruge with John that he didnt not need to finish the race.. ONLY after many words did he agree... After he made it to the pits i went to check on him and he was not upset because his car was messed up but only because one offical would not let him finish the race..... John showed up teh next race night...only to sport a new addition to his car... a bullseye on the rear... the only place that had been damaged in the pervious weeks action... The thought of John brings back many memories and tears..... Rest In Peace John You Are Still Thought Of

I have to say that although it has been some time since we lost John it still feels like yesterday.. I was reading thru the board when I came to the part about John having flipping his car down to an art. Despite the tears that were unknowing flowing down my face I had to laugh...and now I want to share this story with all of you in hopes of lifting your moods also....
