Too late learning.....I had a really great phone call this week from John's close friend Wayne and he filled me in on many personal things in the life of John. I only wish I had taken the time to know those wonderful facts a long time ago. Open Wheel is doing a tribute to John and East Bay Raceway is going to celebrate John Bankston Day on the 2nd of November at the Fall Nationals. His name will be inscribed on the 360 Feature and on the AllStar 410 feature. May his memories live on a East Bay for decades to come. He was special to all of us.
