The harsh desert conditions had taken their toll on the young Amazon, dry lips from the intense gaze of the sun, whipped at her strength as powerful as any of the titans of age gone past. The sand whipped slowly about her, stinging her exposed arms like an army of fire ants. But still she desperately trekked on. In the last several hours she had taken down two of her fellow teammates, the winged one army that is Hawkgirl, and the ancient elemental given form, Red Tornado.
The second of the two battles resulted in such brute force and rage, that her final blow had separated the head of the machine from the rest of its body, now she carries both. Desperately flying high in hope that she will see the jet plane that brought them here, as well as her final team member, the Martian J’onn J’onzz.

“Even you” the shadow like creature glows with power, blasting the small artefact that speaks with pure energy.
“I can assure you, this outer shell was created to survive all conditions, and your energy levels are weak. Perhaps you should save your strength for the battle to come”
“How can I win, she is a champion of the gods”
“She is only their champion, you are a true god”
“You speak comforting words, is their nothing you can do?”
“I will watch, as I have always done”
“Tell me creature, you have never revealed your name to me”

“Yeah of course, its just the storm, no doubt its affecting his telepathy as well. So we’ll just hang tight inside and once the storm clears I’ll fly us out of this joint. Hell by now no doubt Superman is already down here with his x-ray specs on”
The red lights of the androids eyes flicker erratically as they desperately try to cling to power.
“You have entered sacred ground” the voice seems to come from everywhere at once.
“Who goes there? Show yourself”
“You have faced but my hand until now child, enter further inside my keep and either pay homage or face my wrath”
“You consider yourself a god?”
“Long ago I was more than what I am, but I assure you star gazer, I am more than a match for you”
“It was you that attacked me, possessed my friends, no doubt it was you that sent the SOS signal as well. You lured us here”
“I know not of what you speak, you breached my land and have ignored warnings to leave”
“You are no god, you are simply a coward”
Suddenly the room shakes, as the god’s rage intensifies, in a flash of light a young man appears before the two league members. His body is that of a young man, his physique, that of a warrior. In his eyes, orbs of power dance where pupils should sit.
“We shall see who cowers this day child and who will kneel”
“I am an Amazon, I will not fall easily, and I kneel to no man”
