(Shiruta, Kahndaq)
High above the towering empire city that is Shiruta a lone figure floats. He is an intruder and he is prepared for war.
His descent was swift and tactical with the aid of his yellow power ring. He easily smashed through the ceiling of the main chamber to find the man he was looking for, his new recruit. He would become a member of the corps, willing or not.
"What a grand entrance, Sinestro. What a pleasure it is to see you." Black Adam's voice was eloquently dark and ominous. The sarcasm in his voice was apparent. "Where is your army? I'm sure you're not alone."
"Subtlety is one of my better skills, Adam." Sinestro returned the sarcasm as his feet landed softly on the marble floor below him. Pulling his hands up to his face he stroked his mustache before speaking to Black Adam again. "I'm a leader now, Adam, much like you. You've created your kingdom here in Kahndaq and I have to say it's rather nice, but what is a piece of land when you can have power in your hands and the stars beneath your feet? You have nothing, and ARE nothing, compared to me. You have the ability to instill great fear, Black Adam."
Black Adam rose to his feet and began stepping toward Sinestro. His pace was slow and his eyes did not wander. He had been angered, his peace disturbed.
"You plan to recruit me? What would I do with a sector of the Galaxy?! This is MY LAND!" His fist reared back and collided with the ground below Sinestro's feet with a thundering rumble that shook the land. "How dare you come to me and beg for my power, by yourself, none the less!"
"You think me a fool, Adam? I have allies to call upon." Sinestro took a step back, preparing for the worst. His fist tightened and his ring began to glow. "You're coming either way. Force is only a secondary option. I'd much rather you come peacefully. You would be unrivaled, and your power unmatched. You're too blinded with power to see your potential."
Adam's rage was growing now. His fists were trembling with anger and his face was full of hate. Sinestro was right, Black Adam had the ability to instill fear in most, but Sinestro was not scared. Instead a smirk came across his face. He knew it would come to this and he liked it that way.
"So i'm the first? Who else do you think will join you Sinestro? What are you trying to achieve?"
"Power... Power beyond imagination. I have a plan, Adam, as always. My recruitment is only the beginning. Join us and you will understand."
Before Adam could utter a response a fellow Sinestro Corps member gracefully flew down and landed beside Sinestro.
"Adam, I would like you to meet Horku."
Sinestro pulled his arm up and suddenly conjured a sharp object from his ring and brutally put an end to the aliens life. Shocked, Adam took a step back and fell into a defensive position.
"You, Black Adam, are going to inherit this ring and become the corps member of Space Sector 2..."
