Diamonds are Forever

Genosha. The place where my life was beginning, the place where it all ended. The atrocities I had committed with the Lords Cardinal were far too overwhelming for my mind. I needed to get away.

Ever since the disastrous Massachusetts Academy, I wanted to help mutants by educating them but at the same time protecting them. I was not going to send them out in spandex to save people. That is not how society repairs itself, education is the only way. So that is how I opened my school in Genosha.

DECEMBER 11

"Hey Ms.Frost,I am so ready for this exam. I am pumped.", said Sammy excitedly.

"We'll see about that Sammy, your past tests don't back up your prediction.", I replied jokingly as the rest of the class poured into the classroom.

"Damn Ms.F you look fine," said Julian rudely.

"I know Mr. Kelleher, I own a mirror. But I sincerely doubt your thoughts on my physical appearance are going to be of much help to you on this exam." I remarked, as the rest of the class laughed. "The rest of you take out your pencils while I pass out your exams. Absolutely no talking!"

And then it started.....

I first knew it was happening as the wide open window in my classroom showed us that the citadel was being bombed. Then all hell broke loose.

Screams echoed in my ears and I felt their overwhelming terror in my mind. Then the classroom was hit.

"STAY DOWN KIDS!! PLEASE!" I shouted at the top of my lungs with tears in my eyes as the glass was shattered. I lunged in front of Jenna and Skye to block them from a shower of glass. The razor sharp pieces pierced deep into my back. But the pain I felt was not mine, it was those of my students. The living members of the class ran out the destroyed window. But almost all of them were shot down to bits right in front of me.

I felt their emotional and physical agony, but unlike them I was still living. I ran out screaming and two human soldiers appeared to apprehend me but they were no match for me. I made them feel what I felt and made them experience my students' agony when they died multiplied one hundred times. I killed them.

But at that moment, a Sentinel identified me as a mutant and aimed a laser blast at the roof of the school. I looked up to see enormous pieces of rock flying at me. And then darkness.....

Silence. More silence. I was buried.

I must have been laying there for a day by now.

DAY 20

I was using the beating of my heart as a clock. And 20 days had passed or was it my mind playing tricks on me? Then .....light?

Rock after rock was lifting off me. The process of waiting was boring so I tried to stand. As I did, I felt strong. Powerful. When I stood upright, I saw the sun. And four figures standing there looking at me. Everything was hazy, I couldn't see a thing.

I looked down and saw my skin. Haha my mind is obviously tricking me. It looked like it was made completely out of diamonds.
