As he was close to making contact with his face, Kyle let go of the crook's shirt and allowed him to fall to the ground as he fell to his knees, holding his stomach and screaming in pain.

“AAAAHHHH!!!!” yelled Kyle as he opened his eyes and the green light began to overpower the sockets.

Even trying to close his eyes wasn't enough to keep the light from coming through.

The gunman quickly got up to his feet and ran out of the store, hitting the wall on the way out knocking over a stack of newspapers.

The cashier slowly made his way around the counter and looked for Kyle, who was now laying on his stomach, without any movement coming from him.

Slowly making his way down, the cashier nudged Kyle's lifeless body.

“Hey bud...you ok?” he asked in a raspy voice.

The revving of an engine made it's way to the front of the store, with a black car parking at the entrance. Two men jumped out of the vehicle and grabbed Kyle off the floor, and chucked him into the back of the car and sped off.

The cashier still not knowing what had occurred, turned his head towards the phone on the back wall and made his way over to dial for the police.

A few hours later, Kyle woke to a bright light shining into his eyes, quickly looking away to adjust his sight.

As he opened his eyes once again, he noticed he was laying on a table, strapped down by chains and surrounded by a number of black suited men all armed with semi-automatic weapons.

His breathing became heavy as he tried to break the chains but was unsuccessful in doing so. During his struggle, another man walked into the room, holding a briefcase in his left hand.

The man in black turned towards a steel table a few feet away from Kyle's head. He opened the case and pulled out a file folder and a small box.

“My name is Col. Simon Owen” said the nicely dressed man as he closed his case, still having his back towards Kyle.

“You must be thinking what exactly you are doing here.” he said.

“Well, it's a very simple answer to that. We have this, and you're going to tell us where you got it and how it works.”
He brought over the box to Kyle's face and opened it.

Inside was the power ring Ganthet gave to Kyle during the Venice Beach incident.

He loudly closed the box and lowered his head to reach Kyle's eyesight.

“Now...Tell me what this is.”
